Organize life-how learning time management will help you organize your life now

When it comes time to organize their life, most people fall woefully short in achieving their potential. Quite simply, they don't know how to prioritize their day to achieve maximum effectiveness in their daily tasks.

A little known secret to successful organization in life, whether it be your home or your life in general, is that you need good time management habits. Without this skill, you won't know how to prioritize your tasks in order to stay organized.

In fact, time management could very well be the most important skill you ever learn in learning to organize your life. Here are some tips to help you get control of your time starting today.

First of all, make a to-do list before you even begin your next day. Do this right before you go to bed at night. Your subconscious mind never sleeps; therefore, when the last thing you occupy your mind with before hitting the sack is what you're going to do the next day, your mind is subconsciously working on the tasks and how to best achieve them while you snooze.

This same formula has been used by people to figure out the answer to a problem they've been working on. Before they go to bed, they repeat out-loud what they are trying to figure out, so their subconscious mind can latch onto it and begin working on it.

In the middle of the night they suddenly wake up with the answer. Try doing this and see how it works for you.

Prioritize your day with the hardest tasks first. Your mind is sharpest at the beginning of the day, before the daily tasks you do begin to wear it out. Therefore, instead of easing yourself into the day (as most people do) tackle your hardest projects first. No matter what your job or assignment, when you can get the hardest tasks done and out of the way right of the bat, you are able to think more clearly the rest of the day.

Stay focused on just one thing at a time. Do not multi-task. A common misconception nowadays is the person who can do the most things at once accomplishes more.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of checking your email, making phone calls and writing a paper at the same time, focus on just one activity (the hardest) get that done, and move on to the next.

This way, you will get the hardest tasks done right away as quickly and effectively as possible, and you will have done it much quicker than you ever could have by trying to do 3 things at once. This is a key concept if you are serious about learning to organize your life.

Outsource your unimportant activities. Obviously, these will be vary for different people. For instance, if you are an entrepreneur and own your own business, you will want to focus on the money making activities (the marketing) and hire others to take care of the jobs that won't directly affect your income.

If you are an employee, and maybe just want to spend more time with your family, don't spend your whole day at work and then come home to a million chores that need to be done. Hire somebody to take care of your daily needs.

There are many people who you can pay to do your chores such as feeding the pets, mowing the lawn, raking et leaves, etc, for very reasonable prices. No matter what your goals in life, whether they are more money or simply more free time to spend at home with your family, outsource the trivial activities and watch your effectiveness and overall life organizing skills increase dramatically.

These are merely a few simple yet very effective ways to organize your life now. Time management is one of the most important and essential skills you can ever develop; it is the difference between a multi-million dollar entrepreneur and an employee struggling just to get by. Follow this advice, and watch your income and ability to organize your life go through the roof.
